What is the best way to start a marine vessel (ships, cruise ships, merchant) engineer?
The only kind of schools that have found are traditional maritime academies / colleges, which are very difficult to obtain. I'm not interested in design or construction of Navy ships, only the operational maintenance and work. Maybe offshore Engine is the correct term. I really would appreciate some information from someone who is an officer classified in a marine vessel, belonging to the way he began his professional career. In addition, vo-tech schools with diesel technology to good beginning? any information would be helpful. Thanx
My advice would be to enroll as a cadet officer or sponsored by one of the many cooperatives shipping / S all the information is online all expences are paid fees for accommodation food etc. approx + 150 pocket money a week is about the program 3-year aftr u become a merchant navy officer qualified with a ticket without restrictions any vessels of any size there is no substitute for qualifications or will ask for your working life all these so these first 3 years are the most important good luck ex m / n official
101 yachts: The different types of boats
A yacht is a luxury vessel that is often used for recreational purposes. Yachts are different from other boats and ships work, mainly because of the purpose of leisure. Usually ranging from 20 feet in length up to hundreds of meters long.
Pleasure Craft: a luxury yacht smaller than 40ft long.
Mega Yachts: Usually refers to any yacht larger than 100 feet in length.
Super Yacht: Usually refers to any yacht bigger than 200 feet in length.
There are two different classes of ships: energy sailboats and yachts.
Sailing yachts can range from about 20 feet in length over 100 feet in length. Most yachts are privately owned between 25 and 45 feet long.
Day sailing yachts are usually small and often called boats. Are designed for everyday use and not for the overnight trips.
Yates weekend is slightly larger than the boats and are designed to take short trips that are about 2 or 3 days.
Cruising yachts are the most common private yacht and are usually 25 45 feet long. These yachts are often chosen as the yachts of the family because they have so much space and comfort. Some services include cabins, lounges, chairs and equipment, and a toilet and a shower.
Luxury sailing yachts are usually about 82 feet long or more times. These are the refined luxury boats. In the luxury yachts important thing you can find all the comforts you can imagine, from air conditioning to cable television.
Racing Yachts are significantly faster than other boats. Speeds could reach up to 35 knots in extreme conditions. These yachts sacrifice comfort for speed.
